Based on the grainy footage that dropped really fast for a plane.

WTF is going on in the US at the moment?

They had a really good aviation history - all going to pot.

They had deaths in 2022, 2020, 2019, 2018. I don't know whether that is a good or bad history but there were certainly people dying in planes in the USA before this week.

This is the aircraft involved. XA-UCI Learjet 55 of Jet Rescue Air Ambulance.

Some reports saying 2 onboard and others saying 6.

FAA say 6.

It was mentioned that it was a Mexican-registered air ambulance.

It’s reported there was a child patient and chaperone with 4 crew.

Eugh that's rubbish, and makes it even worst if possible : (

It certainly looked like there are going to be more casualties on the ground as well - some terrible footage of someone walking out of the area completely engulfed in flames (don't go looking for it).

Reported in the guardian that the child had been sponsored for lifesaving treatment in the US and was returning home after successful treatment.

Such a cruel and horrible coincidence of events

Came in like a missile. My thoughts entirely BD when viewing the footage.

I’m not saying this is the case in this tragedy, I’m just speculating. There have been a number of Medevac incidents over the last 12-18 months in the USA. Observers on YouTube (Juan) have commented they often operate with just one pilot.

I remember one incident from about 12 months ago where the pilot lost spacial orientation at a high altitude - and that too descended like a dart.

1600' hardly qualifies as high altitude and only about 30 seconds after takeoff

My bad.

I should have read the details in previous posts more closely. Just woken up. I apologise.

Yep. That is strange for an aircraft to come in like that so close after take off.

Another doorbell camera here. Homeowners react much as you'd expect:

Reports are pretty depressing. frown

  • Edit. Dashcam footage. Plane just falls out of the sky. No glide or any hint of control:

You might be surprised how many light aircraft and executive jets crash in the USA. It’s around three or four each week.
