Aston Vanquish II - Passender Door Window Module
Discussion
Hey guys,
I had my 2013 Vanquish in storage for the past few months and the battery died. After getting in with the emergency key and getting the car up and running I noticed that the passenger window would not go down on the drivers or passengers door switch. What was interesting is that I could hear the module kick in when using the switch to raise the window (but it was already up full).
If it was a faulty module surely it wouldn't go up either? I'm putting this down to the car running out of battery, but weirdly the drivers one worked fine.
Any ideas what I can check to diagnose? I'm away from the car now, but can you use the actuator tests via an OBD-II tool to test the module?

I am reading on some of the forums people with similar problems, and a removal/replace of fuses 82/83 in the passenger footwell looks to have solved the problem.
That sounds just like my DB9, which gets window issues if the battery gets a bit low. It's always just one side that won't auto-drop to clear the frame. Doing the fuse trick fixes it. It's best avoided as it's usually discovered when you try to shut the door and the glass hits the frame
Now I always keep it connected to a battery conditioner. I've also got pretty adept at removing/replacing the fuse box cover which is constructed more like a bathyscaphe than a car!
PS I'm on the lookout for a Vanquish II Volante if anyone has a spare one.

Thanks for the reply.
It deffo sounds like a reprogramming / module glitch. I did have the "auto-drop" issue on that side, but after disconnecting the battery and reconnecting it, weirdly it sorted that on both sides.
Its on trickle charge now with a brand new AM battery, but will get up in the next few weeks and have more time diagnosing it.
p.s. believe it or not, looking at Vanquish S Volantes on the classifieds (but by god my eyes are watering!)

That would be because you effectively pulled out/replaced both fuses.EIRE V8 said:

Ah yes, this one! https://www.nicholasmee.co.uk/aston-martin-car-sal... which I would say is priced 'optimistically'. But it's pretty much my perfect spec, well apart from the wheels but I'm sure Nick would swap them for me if I waved that much money at him.Take the S off and they can be in the £85-95K region though, about 25% more than an equivalent DB9.2 (which is also on the shortlist).
