Can this be fixed with a smart repair?
Discussion
Before you consider a smart repair, search out a local, small body shop, they do still exist. However, if you have to go down the ‘Man in a Van’ route, get a recommendation because many of these are franchises and are only as good as the individual operator. I’ve seen some poor so-called smart repairs , masking tape left on, etc.
Just to update this thread, I had the bumper repaired by Street Smart Vehicle Repairs, a mobile team out of Dunstable.
The repair was 160 plus vat, and I got them to machine polish and wax the car whilst there. All in, 430 quid.
The result of the repair is flawless, and the polishing has made the car look stunning. Very impressed, and would recommend them.
