Just say no to panniers! way to ruin a bike. However I hope you find whatever makes you happy.
Ruin a bike? Is that not a bit extreme? I've had many a great ride on bikes with panniers. I accept that most bikes are better without panniers, especially if you're riding with enthusiasm but using panniers doesn't preclude enthusiastic riding or having fun.ETA: 2814 very enjoyable, great fun miles of enthusiastic riding by 5 bikes with panniers on. I don't think any one of us would agree that our bikes were ruined. https://www.pistonheads.com/gassing/topic.asp?h=0&...

My ST came without panniers, so I had Givi hard panniers fitted on mine instead, after fitting the Givi mounting kit.
Panniers have long gone, went with another bike, but i still have the mounting panels, and the brackets are still attached to my bike (still used as winter commuter).
Not sure if Givi do soft panniers as well or not?
I am in Cambs, if you are local, and if you wanted the Givi pannier rails and brackets, you can have them for nothing, but you would need to come and take off the brackets from the bike.
Some of them might have used longer bolts, so you might need to swap them over as part of the removal, i can't remember.
If i could find the bag of bolts that i might have taken off, then i would remove them for you but that was many years ago.
Will take a look if i have time later, but grandkids are en route for the weekend and there is no way i will have time for any of that once they get here!
