leaky focus boot - wadding replacement?
Discussion
I have bought a 2015 ford focus - it has a leak in the boot, which I understand is a somewhat common problem. The dealer has more or less fixed the leak, but I have to dry out the car. I suspect I'll have to drain out the gaps behind the bumper as there are voids behind the vents that collect water. There is some wadding in there that I expect to be soaked and stinky.
I could of course dry it and put it back, or remove it entirely, but assuming I wanted to replace it, does anyone know what I could replace it with . I've called two ford dealers and combed on europart trying to find the part number, but can't seem to turn up any luck. Perhaps it's a generic thing that I can just buy some sound insulating material for , but I can't seem to find anything (at least searching for 'wadding' which is what most people describe it as)
for a visual, if you look at the video below, you can see it pretty clearly around the 2:20 mark.
