Thanks for sharing . The real star of this is council kangol wheelie man. Wonder if he's still around or if he became one with the street furniture. His stories have a strong whiff of chinny though.
I'm more familiar with bikes than I am with fast cars, but I doubt the performance of say a 98 R1 would "bury it" vs "a ferrari" unless he just means 0 to 60 times or something.

Just responding to your second paragraph. I wasn't denigrating the SV650 just trying to give context in that it's not a '98 R1.
As legendary engines go the SV650 motor is in the same league as the 911 Flat Six?

A 98 r1 would do a standing 1/4 in low 10s. Enough to keep a modern Ferrari honest. In 100-200 kph terms it’s probably in the 5s bracket. A Ferrari 488 is probably about the same. Thanks guys. I've got an E1 ZX9R which has similar performance to the 98 R1 in terms of acceleration. I was thinking more along the lines of track times rather than acceleration and straight line stuff. I know more about bikes than I do about high end cars so could be off.
