Polishing scratches on plastic hubcaps

More a theoretical question than needed but can you polish scratches out of plastic hubcaps? Obviously not to ones that are deep but the lighter, more cosmetic types of scuffs. I'm assuming not because the plastic is soft so most scuffs will be too deep but in theory...can you put on something with fillers that would mask them?

Brasso is very effective for cleaning/restoring scratches on plastic and glass.

Obviously try in a small area first.

Don't use Brasso or similar. It contains a solvent that will attack the paint and then plastic as soon as you break the lacquer.

I've just restored my son's headlights (plastic) using this method. They came up like new.
