The chassis number is not right and L Reg well beyond Tuscan production so no it doesn’t look like it.

Looks like it was developed from this:

Good detective work, the car is registered with the DLVA as having 2 litre engine.

So we think it's a Vixen with a M series (square tube) chassis and a 2 litre engine. So not a Tuscan then - other than the badge.

Why don't they advertise it as a Vixen S4 with a 2 litre engine - because they think it will make more money saying it's a Tuscan maybe.

Sorry, I know I'm being g cynical but ..... grumpy

It’s got a V8 engine now but it was produced as a Vixen and still is, apart from the badge!

I guess the folks at Ionic Auctions don’t realise, because I’m sure they wouldn’t/shouldn’t advertise it as the wrong model.

A little more info on the auction site, restored by a company called Project Heaven.

Bit of a mongrel and an expensive one at that. I’m not a racer but I do wonder if wire wheels are the best choice?
Also seems weird to me to go the trouble of backdating the front wing vents to S2 slats but leaving all the other details of a later car in place?
And the whole “It’s a Tuscan now” thing is just bks.

A video from 3 years back. The Late Brake Show.

Around the 34:50 mark.

Possibly the same unit? scratchchin

It does look very nice and I'm sure will give someone bags of enjoyment. It's also good that an honest history and description has been written so the buyer knows what they're buying.

I struggle a bit with the Tuscan badge on a car with a 'M' chassis though, as that never happened. IMO it would be better to wear the Vixen badge.

Good to see the description updated to an honest representation of what the car actually is.
