If it is the one I think we are talking about, I think I must have missed all the activity. My partner saw something happening yesterday but when I tried to find it, the thread had been vaped.

I always miss all of the good stuff - was in an all-day meeting with the big bosses at work so didnt get chance to check PH.....

Because I felt that it was a good way for her to work through her worries and anxieties and gain support that she wasn't getting while her family was away.
I think there were some good words of encouragement in there and whatever anyone thinks of this individual situation, I would hope that if any other PHer was going through a tough time, we'd all be there to offer help and support.

Yeah I understand that. I think maybe it would have been nice to delete the "offensive" posts (I never saw it right to the end) and lock to prevent more but could see some of the posts being very comforting in the future for her.

Anyway, just my 2 pennies worth.

Some guy came along claiming none of it was real. There was a heated discussion and the thread was closed. Another thread opened along the lines of "wheres the first thread gone" and said discussion kinda ambled along for another little bit. The origional author asked for the threads to be removed altogether.

Agree with you 100% Lois, assuming it was in fact a real person...

Dave is real, we know that and no doubt the fact that so many kind words were said should be of comfort in time to come for Dave, but are you 100% sure that Itchy/scratchy was real...

Personally i think the Itchitske posts should have been deleted until something could be done about clarifying where it was indeed a real person involved with Dave and not some saddo perporting to be Daves "GF" for the old sympathy vote...

There was some weird stuff being said in the end and i personally dont think it was headed in the right direction...
