I am planning some rendering work in the Spring. Has anyone had such work done recently in the West Leeds area and could recommend a contractor?
Many thanks

Have you got any contact info. I have not been able to find anything for Rendrite.
Thanks

I’ve had some done over the summer - some of the quotes I got for silicone rendering led me to believe I was employing neuro surgeons .

Shop around

It’s can be an oddly complicated topic.
Much the same as above I’ve had front and side wall rendered 3 months ago and wow some of the quotes were nuts.
Ended up getting local builder in.
had pointing of back of house, new doors (composite) a new drain fitted, insulation and render of the side and front of house for less than the quotes I had from the large companies.
Maybe worth looking into having some sort of external insulation fitted while you’re at it.
You’ll be suprised how much of a difference it can make.
Definitely shop around.
as with anything like that do your research and have a look at some of their previous work as that will tell you everything you need to know

Thanks for the information. I am arranging this for an older relative so I need to get it right. I have had trouble getting contractors just to call me back.
Ubbs, thank you for the phone number, I will give Danny a call, and thanks for the offer to have a look at his work. I will get back to you when I can move forward.
What sort of rendering did you & your neighbours have done? After starting off thinking rendering was just rendering, I am now learning about all the different processes.

We went with a “through” render which is coloured parex seems to ring a bell, Danny normally does a cement base scratch coat and meshes over risky areas like doors just to reinforce it, then goes over with a topcoat of through render.

Thanks for the information. Now got to sort out the family politics before I can take it further.
