Ballpark house removal costs

Having recently SSTC my current house (mid size 3 bed) I'm currently trying to work out the likely removal costs - I'm planning to move from near Reading to somewhere in Cumbria (so >300 miles)
Appreciate any thought / suggestions as to ballpark removal costs for this.
TIA
We moved to Cumbria around 18months ago from Notts area. Cost us just under £2k for a similar size house. I can recommend Steeles.Appreciate any thought / suggestions as to ballpark removal costs for this.
TIA

For our move we had a quote of £4000 from one company who were a national agency type and £2000 from a local company.
Both companies priced the job on a video call.
I wanted to use the local company but didn't want them to lose money so I told them that the competitor was charging double and did they want to check their quote. They came round and did an on site survey and were happy to stick to the lower price.
Excellent service provided.

The size of the move, access, + amount of diss&reassembley will make a massive difference.
Video surveys are utter poop unless the move is incredibly easy. I've performed more than 37000 in home surveys for moving so hopefully I know what I'm talking about. The reasons why they are poop would be an incredibly long post.
I would suggest looking for a firm halfway between the two destinations on this one. A firm that either will visit, or will visit after a video survey after you've accepted their quotation and signed up with them.
regulated movers can be found here - www.bar.co.uk
House size means absolutely sweetFA
If you took the absolute average of all the quotations I've ever performed. Then assumed no issues out of the ordinary then with a proper professional mover you can expect the first figure to be a 4. Rates are up massively over the last two years due to a whole heap of factors. This also assumes you'll complete on a Tue, Wed or Thur and not a Mon or Fri (this matters for your move!)

We paid £8k to move from Sussex to Lincs (200 miles). Packing took 2 men five days, plus another team of two on the day with a second van.
And they were still 4 hours overdue leaving, then forgot a bed and an a/c unit.
And I emptied the attic prior to the day, and took 1 x Transit load over to a storage unit for MiL to use at her new address.
That's 25% the cost of our first house (in 1985), just on removal. Barmy.

They moved us, were brilliant, polite and I honestly have never seen people work so hard!
ETA: £1300 to move an *extremely full* 3 bed plus *extremely full* garage 30 miles. So my guess given overnights for the distance would be 3k excluding any packing you wanted (we packed ourselves).
