Looking for the name of old jap.car importer, rural.aberdeenshire, maybe up by Oldmeldrum, but not sure, imported subarus, celicas, lexus, mr2, fto, gto... about 20 odd hear ago, was in the sticks, sure it was on a junction, cars were quite pricey, popular with rig workers....cheers Steve

I'm fairly sure I bought my Cavalier Turbo from them back in 2001. The guy who had it had traded it in against an imported Impreza (apparently) and I remember there being a fairly eclectic collection of JDM stuff in and around the building. Though Rothienorman, just looked at the map and I can't remember it being that far from Aberdeen... but then I got the bus up so no idea...

Late response, but will have been Indy Cars

It’s where I got my Impreza from back in 2003 (that I still have)

The guy was a crook. Most of the cars were clocked, and/or Grade R. People took him to court over non existent engine builds that they’d paid him for.

In my case, I discovered much later that he’d removed 50k km from the odometer and it had repaired damage to the nearside… he claimed it was a Grade 4.

I think Indy Cars had another place in the sticks before the garage in Rothie. Stock didn't move at all from what I recall.

Some people I worked with had tried to buy a car from him. There was no dealing, he asked how much money you had to spend and he'd get a car at that amount. Other thing was no test drives apparently, he would drive the car because he was a 'racing driver'...

All in all he sounded like an weapons grade cockwomble.
