Kemi says "politicians just told you want you wanted to hear"

Is she just saying what people what to hear now though?

A tricky one. I would need more proof

This is just the first step of operation rebrand.

State the obvious about BREXIT, blame it on others, then promise that we are not like that.

Badenoch has not named who she holds responsible, but in her speech said: "We announced that we would leave the European Union before we had a plan for growth outside the EU.
The only plan most of the Tory party had was not to leave at all.

I’m starting to think Ed Davey is actually a political genius compared to Kemi and SKS.

clap

The Mrs asked me why I giggled at the iPad - it proved impossible to explain to a person with no interest in politics, current affairs or science.

Didn't Boris do that when he took office after months of Teresa May negotiations with Europe and her own party?

Literally his only aim was "leave Europe" come hell, high water, deal or no deal.

And now even his own party have seen the problems with that approach!

What might this growth plan have been? Our amazing trade agreement with Australia. (Boomerangs and Digeridoos have never been cheaper)?

It’s a weak attempt to suggest the current Tory party would have done better job of it.

Brexit is a great example of people making a decision based on emotion rather than logic or facts. No one really knew what the impact would be, so assumed it would be good if the decision went their way.

Personally, I was against brexit for many reasons, most of them political and /or philosophical. Still am, from that perspective,

Financially it’s been a great success. Working for a large corporate it’s removed about 80% of our completion as our smaller UK competitors don’t have scale to compete against us in Europe.

To be fair that was a pretty good plan.

Murdoch dropped support for John Major because he wouldn't leave the EU, the supported Blair and others until he lucked upon the gormless idiot Johnson who fulfilled his desires.

Sadly the people bought Murdoch's bullst and voted accordingly
