Yup off to Liverpool. Have 2 spare on the floor if anyone interested.
Me also, looking down from a Muppet Box.His popularity has certainly increased, the first time i saw him was at Telford's Warehouse on Chester. How big is that place? 150 people maybe.

I just looked his tour history up and it suggests 2010. No way the gig I went to was only 15 years ago.
I did that after reading this thread as well.I also went to see him in Birkenhead, at the Pacific Road Arts Centre (2011), did you go to that one as well ?
My last Fish gig would have been at The Floral Pavillion in New Brighton, when ever that was.

Most of the gigs have therefore been down there or Wolverhampton as that is a good venue and not a bad drive from Wiltshire.
Don't recall Birkenhead but do recall Parr Hall Warrington in the early 90s.

I recall that he published an article somewhere about the finances of performing in small venues that was very interesting. https://web.archive.org/web/20160504110210/http://...
I've seen notice of the tour, and did think about perhaps going along to have a look, but I'm completely unaware of his post-Marillion music, just like I'm largely unaware of their post-Fish music apart from one album that I really disliked. I should dig into it, but I've probably left it a bit late now. I really liked Fish-era Marillion, and hadn't realised how acrimoniously they parted, at least from his point of view.

Try and see a Steve Rothery gig. He plays loads of early Marillion, depending on the tour theme. I was a huge Marillion fan until the mid 80s.
Can Fish still sing?

His work is worth a look. Give this a listen, all the way through.https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8d2ruQczD34

TBF his voice is no longer what it was, but this is the last tour so all very sentimental for me.
Exactly that. He has to adapt some of songs as he can’t sing them exactly the way he used to, but having followed him and his solo career for around 35 years, this tour will be an emotional one for sure.I have tickets for the final two nights in Glasgow, as supposedly he will play different sets at both.

I was living darn saaf 97-12 so hence why Chester seems so unlikely at that time. Not impossible because family still up here but even so i would swear it was 20 years before that.

I've been thinking about the year, and I can remember that the missus had just started at Chester Uni, and we'd gone to Telfords for an afternoon with some of her new chums, and there was a poster up for him playing there in a few weeks time, so I bought a ticket at the bar (in the days when they wrote one by and stamped it). Most of the gigs have therefore been down there or Wolverhampton as that is a good venue and not a bad drive from Wiltshire.

And she started her degree in 2010. So that would match.

Fish’s first solo album was ‘Vigil (in a wilderness of mirrors)’ in 1990.And she started her degree in 2010. So that would match.
