Outback Field Roof Bars

Hello, I am picking up a 2022 Outback Field on Friday. One of the (expensive) options is to fit the integrated roof bars.
These bars look just like a Thule Evo bar which would be perfect as that is what I use for my kayak.
Can anyone confirm that this is the case? The Subaru dealer did not know.

Can't answer your question, but I've run these on a couple of different cars and they were excellent quality and fit...roofbox.co.uk were very helpful too.

there are a few of us old boys over here on PH. I don't post so much on cars nowadays. I hope you are well.
Thanks for the suggestion. I do have a set of bars that will fit, however, there is an option for an 'integrated' set of bars as the Field comes with some fancy attachments that would be cool.

I had to Google both the Field Bar and Evo Bar to check what they actually referred to but buth look similar to what I have so hopefully this helps.
I've had Thule aero wing bars and they are very similar in shape to the fold out bars on the Outback. (I think it's the fold out bars that are now called Field bars, when I bought my Outback rhey weren't called that but they look the same as the ones on the current website). The Thule ones are a little bit more substantial in thickness (height) but the Subaru ones are substantial enough. Very convenient to be able to swing out and use. I always carry some ratchet straps and it's very useful to be able to just open up the bars whenever needed.
The only downside is the plastic trims that run lengthwise down the car are higher than the bars when they are deployed. This means you can't carry anything particularly wide and will only be able to carry one kayak unless you have j-bars or similar. You can get around it, for example I've carried sheets of 8x4 by first strapping 2 lengths of 2x4 lengthways to the crossbars which gives clearance to then strap the 8x4 above the plastic covers.
In summary if you regularly carry massive stuff you are better off with proper wide bars. If you just want the convenience of easily carrying smaller stuff then they are great but require a bit more effort for bigger jobs.
