Not seen any topic on this forum about this series made by MGM. A total sleeper of a show probably due to limited marketing budget and one definitely flying under most people's radar. I started this show over a year ago and didn't make it past Episode 1; having now seen that Sky have been promoting Season 3, I decided to take a look again, as clearly there is an appetite for it. Glad I did as perserverance pays off. I'm up to episode 7 now of S1 and it excellent story with engaging and likeable characters.

It's a slow burn mystery with plenty of nods towards Lost (two exec producers are involved in this show). However it's low budget so doesn't have the big production visuals or major budget of Lost but it more than makes up for it with a solid story.

Won't say too much else as I think it's one of these shows you should pick up and watch and let mystery unravel itself. I'm sure the producers have heard loud and clear the criticism that was aimed at Lost at producing a lot mystery without answering some of the why and how and that they defined the clear arc for this story, without the need for dragging it out longer than it needs to be. S4 has already been commissioned which is good news and allows the audience to invest in something that will be still be around in the next year or two.

Definitely worth a 2nd try. I've just finished the 1st series and it is very good.

It relies on being dialogue-heavy, a true slow burn but it's the perfect marinade for the story. Where a lot of other shows fail IMO is the realism factor - whilst there is clearly some kind supernatural element of the story, at no point have I really had to suspend my disbelief at some of the characters actions or decisions. The producers have really thought out the "What if" scenarios, how a person would realistically repsond in a similar situation, which keeps the credibility of the story tight.

I thought there was a thread on here about this.

Definitely an underrated show and relatively unknown as mentioned.

My only concern is that it does turn into another “lost” - some stuff in S2 certainly was a bit Lost-esque.

It’s a fantastic show. Obviously has to be watched on a decent setup for full impact. Some very creepy moments. Thankfully I have a full home cinema setup and it is made for stuff like this.

If I was waiting like I did for Lost every week for the next episode, it probably would drag. Feels like it makes a difference to watch the whole drop back to back.

I'm liking the vague crossover of Walking Dead meets Lost. The first few seasons of both of those series was excellent TV and I've always wanted a Lost replacement and this show is it.

I'm now 3 episodes into S2 and it's clear that S1 did relatively well with audiences as we've seen a literal bus load of new characters introduced and the collapsing house looks like it had money behind it (didn't look like CGI). Definitely a leap forward in terms of budget.

I'm 3 episodes away from the end of S2 (hopefully finish it tonight), and already looking forward to S3 - it's still excellent. I'm liking the pacing; not revealing too much too soon, which surely is the key to a good story.

At the end of each episode, I always watch ThinkStory's breakdown of it and he always finds things I have missed or links things to previous events. Would highly recommend it after every episode:

Also does an excellent breakdown of Silo for those who watch that.

Just finished S2 - interesting with a bit of curveball ending.

Could the end sequence be a dream? (that's my hunch - doubt it's real).

Will see in S3 I guess.

So many Lost influences (I jotted them down off the top of my head - sure there are many more and some still to come).

- Become trapped in an unknown area
- Good v Bad
- Dark v Light (night v day)
- Trapped spirit(s) need to be released
- Nosebleeds
- Lighthouse
- Healing
- Hearing voices / whispers
- Mysterious hatches
- People living there before (Victor's time and before)
- Walt's father Michael
- Walt's dog
- Looming pregnancy mystery and birth?
- Dead people reappearing
- Dreams
- Trees
- Caveman torches
- Ships wheel
- Religious undertone

Just finished S3. Still loving the show. Yes still a lot of unanswered questions but plenty of hints along the way, of where the story is heading and underlying reason for the town.

This show is the perfect tonic to the fast-paced digital life that we all lead; swipe left, swipe right, TikToks and instant gratification. This show allows you to reset back to a time when stories took time to be told; pacing is perfect, story still believeable, decisions credible and no real moments of "really?" or the need to suspend disbelief, even though there are plenty of supernatural moments. No story is perfect but this series does it well.

Very much looking forward to S4.

Enjoying this, very odd, but characters are good.

Son and I were commenting on the electricity situation and was really surprised to see that start to be looked at by the residents lol - although no answers as yet, but as someone said, the reactions to the situations seem believable.

Yes, there's a lot of weird supernatural stuff, but even my wife is enjoying the binge of this...

Hope it has answers though.

We binged this over Christmas... Looking forward to Season 4!

I am, however, worried they will 'Lost us' or it will get cancelled before we get to see behind the curtain!

If one can get out, even if she is not wholly sure how/why (even if she does go back), then in theory surely they all can... which means it ought to have a 'proper' ending, where they (those who survive) are all able to escape... right? I'm sure this seems a bit 'simple' but the theme of car accidents and comas seems prevalent i.e. dream/purgatory... which is exactly what we said about Lost ~15yrs ago.

I started watching this a few weeks back and just finished the S3 finale last night. It's a great show, though like most other fans (I guess) I'm trying to put it all together and work out what's going on.
