Anyone used a good career coach?
I am having a few chemistry calls but not feeling any chemistry. Majority seem to want to sell you a block of sessions for a big upfront fee. Most have plenty of the theory but seem light on the practical, real, workplace.
Be good if they had changed careers and maybe worked in recruitment (as they spend all day, every day talking to job seekers and employers and looking at CVs)
Just be curious if anyone has any recommendations?

I walked away from being a freelance User Experience consultant, and have been doing tons of coaching training over the last year. (alongside therapy training).
I'd happily do a chemistry call.
Chemistry call would show if my approach appeals.
I am challenging, and go deep into the WHY as well as the what and how. So on a 30 minute chemistry call, I expect a breakthrough in the WHY in your career ideas.
If you then wanted to work with me, I don't expect a block booking. Session by session, with goals works for me.
