I was watching a video on track set up and it advised running some toe out, as negative camber tries to pull the wheels inward.
Toe out make the front more 'lively' and assist turn in, but can make the car nervous on the road and on high speed circuits, I understand.
I wonder if any of you track demons/set up peeps can weigh in with your thoughts? I currently run zero toe and 2.25 neg camber with a little under 10 deg castor at the front and the car feel pretty nicely balanced, but was think of adding a little toe out, now.
Rear runs 2 deg neg camber and 0.10 deg (10mins) toe in.
Cheers,
Mark

Front toe setup is something that is very personal I'd say - no right or wrong here.
I have a preference for 3mins per side of Toe out, which is hardly anything... but to me it means the front end is more stable at high speed and requires an input from me to change the direction of the car. I did some tests last year and went from toe out to toe in and then back to toe out. So I confirmed my preference. My castor is into the 9's.

TDT as usual is speaks sense. OP - there isn't really a 'best' front toe amount as it depends on what you want from the car. 'typical' fast road/light track geo will have a bit more front than rear camber and some rear toe in as a standard-ish baseline - front camber is really something you should experiment with to see what you prefer after that.

Sage advice from TDT and isaldiri. Bit of toe out on the front, bit of toe in on the rear, more camber front than back, sway bars depends on how you like a car, personally full soft front and full stiff rear as I like the back end to move.Gassing Station | 911/Carrera GT | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff
