Door to door "Money Saver" for utilities

Some guy knocked on my door about neighbours being overcharge for gas and electric, I assume he is a door to door salesman but wtf it's -2 and I'm sure I saw him walking about at least 6 hours ago.

Do people really do this? Who is going to trust someone on the doorstep?

Yep, my wife was talking to someone doing a similar gig last year. They basically get dropped off at 9am, given an area to cover and then picked up 8 hours later. Presumably it must be worth their (employers) while!

His neighbours are being overcharged for gas and electric ... because Mr Cold Caller just signed them up to whatever faux utility company he was shilling for
