Power steering rack gaiter & grease
Discussion
Probably too simple a question, but hey.
I've found a split steering rack gaiter on my PAS therefore have ordered a new set from Motaclan (more or less the same cost as the Bailcast DBSR300 set others have suggested).
I will do my best to clean any muck (looks ok) from the rack, and will apply some fresh grease - the grease in there has a grey colour which looks a bit like the stuff I used on the CV joints (though that was part of the GKN kit and didn't specify itself) - but should this be anything more special than a standard moly grease, or is it a lithium moly or something else?

To answer my own question, I've spoken with a couple of people, but was given different advice.
Kiley & Clinton
Very friendly and helpful chap, who said they always put some grease in there - red lithium complex EP2 grease - I asked about using lith-moly CV grease, he said that's fine too. Basically the thicker the better so it stays on the parts and doesn't run when it gets warm.
Lawfield (who did the rack refurb a few years back)
According to Companies House, this company has been struck off the register, and no longer exists.
My conclusion is to follow the guidance of the steering rack specialists, and will apply some lith-moly CV grease (Comma do one that's readily available) as that's the colour of what's in there.
If I end up replacing both boots, I will see if it makes sense to try to fully clean down and use the red EP2 stuff - it's compatible with lithium grease anyway.
