We've had some major building work completed - 80% of the ground floor taken back to brick, walls removed, new kitchen, new dining room, new lounge, new utility, new windows and doors throughout.

Builder has been brilliant.

Historically when doing work in the past I've done the decorating myself, but due to the sheer scale of the works and needing to have certain parts decorated at specific times this was part of the builders remit and as it was a building site the walls were sprayed.

We now have a few hairline cracks in the ceiling plaster running the width of the room. Has always happened in the past with it drying and I've historically sorted it myself. But is this now his responsibility or is it my responsibility?

Thanks

As a general rule/custom and practice minor shrinkage is not regarded as a defect and hence the builder is unlikely to accept it as a snag/latent defect
