A good time to take stock of all the good things you have in your own life.

Damn sad but i think things probably get harder as the person gets older depending on whos around to look after them, lets hope not for her sake,it does put things into perspective.

That little girl will be fine...
she has her parents love and she appears to love life.
those who judge because of looks and disabilty are very sad people indeed....
not all of us can be normal and not all of us are fortunate to have a visable disablitly.
all special needs kids are special..
They need more support than most but overall can contribute to society.

Bless her little heart.

Reminds me of the story of the boy David.

That sounds really sad.

These stories touch our hearts so deeply, we tend to remember them all our lives. I remember a story about a young boy whose father doused him in petrol, and set him alight. He had 95% burns iirc, and his face had melted away almost completely. The pain he was in for months afterwards was beyond believe, but he pulled through and survived in the end, and underwent reconstructive surgery.

Poor girl I don't know if I could go through life being pointed at all the time, which is bound to happen to her every time she goes somewhere new.
