E39 M5 to Nurburgring

Have planned a trip in May to take my M5 to the Eiffel region. Am I likely to need a low emission Umweltplakette sticker for using the M5? We are not really planning to go to any big cities but plan to explore places such as Cochem and the region near the track.

Mine is a 2000 Pre facelift car that is Ulez compliant as it meets the Euro 4 regs in the stated emissions on the cert of conformance from BMW. Any thoughts would appreciated.

If your plan is to explore the Eiffel region, including areas like Cochem and the countryside near the Nürburgring, it is unlikely that you will need the sticker unless you venture into a nearby city with an Umweltzone (e.g., Cologne, Bonn, or Aachen).
