Google AI search results listing companies

Noticed this recently. Alongside an AI answer to a question it also lists recommended companies. This seems like SEO/PPC within the AI results. I appreciate that the results are not shown fully at the start but it represents an interesting development. My first thought was how I get my company's name into the results...thoughts?
It's not PPC (yet).
SEO has a significant influence which goes hand-in-hand with how the business exists as an entity with Google's knowledge graph.
It's kind of complicated, with a great many unknowns at this point.
TLDR: keep promoting your business via as many different channels as possible.

The summary so far seems to be that Digital PR is pretty vital - making sure you appear within the editorial content, best-buy guides, etc that the AI platforms visit and use for training data. And when creating content it's largely about having plenty of long-tail content that focuses on FAQs in your market, as these searches are more conversational.
