Hello folks.

Having recently tracked down and bought back a Z4 Coupe that I once owned, I told a friend I would help try to trace his old Lotus Elise S1. He owned the car around 2001 for a year or so, an S1 grey car, reg P***MLM. The car has been off the road for a long time, circa 2008 according to the MoT history and my mate assumed it had been smashed or was a track day tool or possibly on a private reg. Last mileage was around 50k. However there was a V5 activity recorded in Summer 2024, so it must be out there still. I have posted a similar post on a Lotus Facebook page, and one person thinks the car spent a long time down in Canary Wharf and was then sold in a salvage auction, possibly in Manchester last summer as a restoration project, which would tie in with the V5 update.

So, do any of you know the car or can shed any info on the auction it may have been in last year? I am fully aware of data protections laws and would never ask for someones details, only if my friends details could be passed to the owner if the car was tracked down.

At the same time as him owning it, I had a VX220 (don't hate me), so we had a good summer going to Oulton Park in those two cars and enjoying the experience. I am also trying to track that car down, DK**XVR, europa blue with tan leather. This has been off the road since 2018 with 97k on the clock, so probably isn't in very good condition anymore......

Have a good day.
Mark
