Garden/log cabin room electricity usage

Just as extra info...
In case you are imagining a large sub-meter similar to the one supplied by the energy provider.
You can get DIN rail mounted meters - which would go inside your consumer unit - at either 'end' depending on what is best.
Also, it can be intrusive - in that it is wired so that current passes through, or can have a current transformer clamp.
Of course the CT type still needs to be powered, so still gets connected to the supply.

We've got a similar setup in our garage, main meter measures total usage of everything and is what is reported to the supplier, second meter in the garage measures just what is used there and is for personal info only. Previous owners used to run a business from the garage so assumed they needed the info for business costs etc
What will you be using in the cabin?
A few LED lights won't add up to much and it's easy to work out.
If you want to know what a heater or dehumidifier is costing you, a simple plug-in meter can do that.
There are all sorts of 'smart' energy monitor options.
A conventional 'meter' is not always the best answer, you may find it useful/interesting/<a whole new hobby> to have info logged over time, so you can see what each thing has cost you this week/month/winter
Beyond that, we may be getting into 'if you have to ask, you shouldn't be fiddling with it' territory....?
