Will try them.

Or looking for cheap suv/truck where it is tax exempt for towing and cheap to insure

My impala is £200 per year to insure and no tax/ mot buy googling it seems you can only tow 1.3 ton and need something which can tow 2ton minimum

5th generation Impala is a body on frame design, making addition of a tow package extremely easy (assuming no rear frame-rot).

Here in the US, typically you'd take it to a U-Haul and they'd weld one in, while you wait. In UK any competent welder could do the same.

You didn't mention lighting wiring, which comes in a kit that needs splicing in to the rear lights/brakes/turn signal loom. Available from Summit, Rock Auto, Pep Boys or Autozone. Given the age of the car, probably need to be back-ordered.

Re wiring can do generic so not worried

I looked and it seems impala is rated at 1300kg for pulling weight and that is quite low. Any reliable way to find out max tow weight?
