Any knowledge on these? I’ve fitted them to all rads in the house and annexe (all off the same hub, although the annexe has its own boiler) one of the valves in the annexe is showing 18 deg and the rad is on 100% even though it’s set to control to 15 deg, the other two seem to be working correctly, I’ve had to put one of their signal boosting plugs into the annexe and the signal is still showing as weak.
Have I just got a dodgy valve or is there something else that maybe wrong? (The pin in the offending rad appears to be moving freely)
Thanks
G

Firstly, why don't you swap a head from a known good one and see it the problems still occurs.
If you have not replaced the actually valve bodies fitted to the rads, its perfectly possible that the one you are concerned with is passing, regardless of how the pin seems or feels to be.
The Hive head maybe correctly driving the pin down into closed position, but the body maybe worn inside and allowing the hot water to still pass when the boiler is on.
Might just be worth checking the head is fitted properly too, just in case.

Thanks, yeah I’ve done that and the problem moves with the valve, and a known good valve controls the “problem” rad, so I’m pretty confident the issue is with the TRV

They do take a week or two to calibrate - part of the process seems to be running each rad at full blast regardless of temp selected.

Mine have settled down now.

Take the TRV head off and check that you haven't punctured the black plunger that pushes down on the pin. If there is a hole in it, this will be your issue.

This can happen if the pin is sticky and requires more than average force to actuate the pin and / or if you fail to put it in to service mode when you take it on and off.

Hive will warranty it, but you'll need to send a picture in and pictures of the valve pin.

Thanks, fortunately bought through Amazon, so no worries with returns
