Chinos for work
Discussion
Sorry, a boring clothing thread.
I am struggling to find chinos that fit me comfortably. I am 6'2 and wear size 32W/34L. I need slim fit and a decent rise. I've tried pairs from Charles Tyrwhitt (ok but not that comfortable, rise is borderline) and Gant (small rise, impossible to wear with a shirt).
Previously I wore jeans to the office or wfh.
Any ideas? Thanks!

I bought a pair from George at Asda whilst working away as the other shops had all closed, they’re as good as Next at half the price, not as good as M&S Autograph, but I’d buy them again as they’re fine, unlike a bloody awful pair I got from Primark on a day I cycled in to work without packing trousers….nearest shop to the office, but a terrible fit and paper thin material.

To clarify, is a "decent rise" another way of saying "high waisted", as in you're going for a Simon Cowell type of look?
I guess so. "Mid rise" doesn't seem to be that mid anymore. I think Vindaloo79 put it succinctly enough- "nicely accommodating"
Thanks all. Appreciate the replies. Now, to the shops...
Not sure what your budget is but came across this outfit a while back, I may purchase a pair in the summer. Casatlantic.
M&S 'Ultimate' chinos are decent and good value. Make sure you try them on - I've bought multiple pairs all the same size but different colours and the fit is different depending on the fabric used. Can make a big difference, especially for the length.
I tried CT but felt they were expensive for what they were (even in the multi-buy deals they do) and the fit could have been better.

Now I know it’s dangerous territory to question another man’s fashion sense… but really?!Maybe it’s just the strange looking model they’ve chosen standing with a weird stance….
Or maybe you were being ironic and I’m due a parrot.

Have a look at M&S Collection. They have various chino ranges (Heritage, Technical, Italian, Regular etc). I swear by the stretch fit but I am a different shape to you
.
I agree. I’ve got a few pairs of M&S chinos for work. Get creased as hell sat on my fat arse all day though!

£210 as well…
Asket might be worth a look.
Loads of choice online but they offer a pretty wide range of fit and size and leg.
Or depending on budget and if you want to try them on and depending where you live have a look in the menswear at John Lewis as they usually have a decent range of the more high street brands.
