Action cam backup
Discussion
My other half got me an action cam for Xmas, partly because I'm off to the Alps in June to ride lots of passes (lost count, 15?). I'd really like to record as much of it as possible, which got me thinking about storage. This seems to mean get lots of memory cards to cover the trip, as taking a laptop to transfer onto external hard drive(s) is not an option.
Yonks ago companies like Epson used to sell battery powered hard drives with card readers and an LCD viewing screen, but I'm struggling to find something similar. What do people who take lots of footage do?

I have been using this for precisely the same job that you are thinking about.

I had five cameras with me on my alpine trip and I downloaded the sd cards to this hard drive at the end of each day. I don´t know what their current product for this task is but I´m sure something similar is available.

That does look pretty perfect, thanks. Shame they don't make it anymore, not sure why as we can't be the only two people in the world who'd buy one. I've been playing with a USB-C hub, looks like that and an external SSD will be the (clumsier) answer with my phone doing the donkey work.
Nice vid, lovely car
