Bmw 520d Fault code

Hi, I've a bmw 171 520d g30, a fault code came on saying "rear seats not locked" and when I put it into drive it pops back into neutral and does the same in reverse, has anyone seen this?

Clean the catches with some WD40 and then lithium grease and then 'slam' them down to see if that sorts it

That would probably cause the popping out if gear for safety id say?
