Good day all.

Am wanting to do Le Mans Classic for July 2025 - this year.

Does anyone know of anyone who does Glamping/pre-erected tents on or around the circuit other than MTD ?

Have started the process of booking with MTD but the lack of comms and clear info is a little scary so exploring other options if such a thing exists.

Will be first time visiting - and looking for a package with decent accom, entrance, grandstand etc etc and parking close by for the car.

Appreciate any advice/assistance.

Thanks

1st Tickets also do pre-erected tents on a private campsite - they run a good operation & I've been using them since 2013 for a mixture of the 24hrs and more recently the Classic.

I can fully understand anyone dealing with MTD looking for a plan B

I got a general admission ticket from MTD for last year's 24 hour, but I couldn't recommend anyone to use them, and although I really enjoyed Le mans , if the only way I could go again involved dealing with MTD , then I would give it a miss.

Anyone thinking of using MTD really should have a search back through this forum

Also, the Classic is less busy than the main race so you might be able to get a hotel room in the town easily enough and commute via the tram (or drive...)

It's less busy but I reckon there's a much higher proportion of non-campers who can drive into the infield Bugatti circuit car show/car clubs (qualifying cars etc) area from hotels and further a field options. A lot less manufacturer team staff and hangers on to though - so may be hotels are an option.

Last time we camped off site - Le Pont Romain (2016 I think) it was a pig driving in on the Sunday and parking area we had tickets for already full and had to park on a slip road other side of airport. Much easier driving in from campsites down by BSJ.

Hi everyone!

Which days would you say are the most important for Le Mans Classic if you’re short on time? I’m planning to bring my wife and wonder if it’s better to be there from Friday to Saturday or if we should spend Friday in town instead? What do you recommend as someone who has visited Le Mans Classic before?

Appreciate your advice!

I camped there in 2017, never again,m if you need sleep forget it, noisy cretins everywhere.

Not a great event was staggeringly hot, ruined it for me.

And to be brutal not an amazing venue, cars and drivers amazing and superb at night, but in the day just too damn hot

’ve been trying to read up a lot, but I’m still unsure about the best spots to be at during the Le Mans Classic. My current plan is to be at the track on Friday, get better seats for Saturday, and possibly buy regular tickets for Sunday to see the finish and maybe walk on the track.

Do you think the event is worth the long trip (we’re driving all the way from Sweden)? smile

Are you referencing the 24hr or the Classic?

Decided to do the Classic this year, first time.

About eight of us going, saying in BSJ as we would for the main race.

I’m expecting it to be quieter and more boutique of course, but anything else I should know that may be different/better/worse compared to a week later?

Have you bought your camping passes?

I say that because all sites are now sold out apart from Beausejour.

If one of your group has a qualifying car the infield parking with a club pass (mine used to be free about 3 years ago) is good as can take stuff and bottles of water etc in for group on some days

Always hot when I've been and lots of cars and other stuff to see away from the track and nice to walk about without rucksacks and other stuff all the time - especially from BSJ

Stand tickets (shaded stand) always good as allows groups to separate and a good meet up/rendezvous point

There's some nice deckchairs at the back of the ACO stand in the bar area if you fancy a nap during the racing too - very comfortable

That's good comment about water / drinks.

A small bottle of water was 3 euro or maybe a bit more, I remember from last time.

Forgot to mention Paddock passes/tickets as they are great for seeing the cars close up when they are not on track
