Her voice isn't as good as I thought it would be.

Easy on the eye though.

Sophie Ellis-Bextor would be a good Hootenanny presenter. We watched a bit of both and are looking forward to turning it off in seven minutes.

I often think these things don't translate well on TV. It's like they optimise the mixing for the venue and then broadcast the same audio rather than doing a separate mix for TV. I went to an Ellie Goulding gig full of trepidation because she hadn't sounded that great on televised live performances but when I actually saw her live her voice hit you like a train!

Neither, we were flicking through the music channels until the fireworks came on. SEB looks and sounds annoying, never seen what the big deal was with her and JH is basically too smug and up himself because he hosts the same dirge year upon year and does little else.

Maybe it's the whisky I've subsequently consumed but her voice and confidence has improved IMO as the evening has gone on and looks even better.

Still got Sophie on here. No pretentious waffling on and on, just some decent music that was well performed, and she’s still very easy on the eye. The best NYE TV show for a long time.

The first time I saw the Groovejet video, I was mesmerised. Sophie was the most beautiful thing I had ever set eyes on. She still looks fantastic 20+ years later.

She was very good…..now watching Jools: the youngest Sledge sister on, & Roger Taylor earlier singing Under Pressure: there really is nobody like Jools for bringing together an astonishing array of music…..AND he plays along with some of them, tinkling the ivories without even looking at them, in the moment, loving the music!

Bob Geldof having a shot with CMAT….

Great vibe cool

HNY all!
