MOT Advisory: Play In Steering Rack Inner Joints

I had this advisory on my MOT 11 months ago. I have noticed clunking / knocking noise when I turn left and right.

From my understanding the inner tie rods need replacing. Is this the required to remedy this defect?

Replace the rack, it's not that difficult.
