I’m looking to purchase some new brogues and obviously keen to take advantage of any new year discounts that might be available.
Probably tan or brown leather, for wearing with Chinos or to ‘dress-up’ some jeans.
Happy to pay £200+ for the right shoes, but don’t feel the need to pay for a bespoke ‘brand’ - I do need to learn to look after shoes better, as I tend to get rid of them once the exterior starts to look shabby, rather than wear out the soles and need them re-soled!
Something like this looks to be exactly what I’m looking for:
https://trickers.com/products/kensington-toecap-ox...
I’ve had problems in the past with bad blisters etc, so probably would visit the London store to try them on in person.
Any other brands / shops you’d recommend?

Oxford brogues are a bit dainty
They're more of a nod to the brogue pattern in an oxford shape city shoe than a true brogue IMO
Proper brogues are more full on Mr Men look like these
ETA with this style of shoe there will be some breaking in. Best way of avoiding blisters would be to choose a style that can stand some walking, accommodate slightly thicker socks, keep them supple and waterproof and get some miles in.

I don't agree at all. They're more of a nod to the brogue pattern in an oxford shape city shoe than a true brogue IMO

The ones you've linked to (which I used to own) are what I would call a country brogue and suitable for all the most arduous of trench warfare situations.
