I've got some money burning a hole in my pocket....and I don't know how to spend it. £1500 was gifted, and I'd match it hence budget is in 1500-300 range.

I thought I wanted a Tag Carrera in black, but when I saw it in the shop window I was very underwhelmed.

I really really really liked the Tudor Ranger in the same shop window. But I already have a Sin 556 that is filling the black dial space. I'd love it if they did the ranger in some different colour ways.

I spent a while wanting a Farer 36mm 3 hand, or the new Pembroke II.

In short I don't know what I want. Well, I do, I want an OP in Pink or Tiffany, but I don't think I'd ever bring myself to spend that much on a watch. £1500ish is my kind of world. But that's the general aesthetic I like most.

I've got small wrists, so large divers watches aren't great for me. Black Bays are good, but I'm not sold on the snowflake hands tbh.

Want to use this thread as a bit of a mood board for any watches in the vein of the ranger, Carrera, OP etc.

I’m just about to put up for sale a Breitling Superocean 36mm, orange dial and with both the Breitling original steel strap and the matching orange rubber strap.

Worn maybe three times.

And a Tudor Black Bay 58 blue 39mm, worn maybe 15-20 times.

Both purchased at the same time around 2020-21.

Both full sets inc all paperwork and receipts, spare links etc.

I am planning to put them on eBay but haven’t got round to it yet, if either are of interest to you?

yes, I like those 36mm Carreras but I can't quite work out if they are mens or women's. The pink and turquoise are pretty vivid which tips it a bit feminine in my view. I'm happy with unisex, but I think these present a little bit female.

I bought my sinn when what I really wanted was a damasko, now I have the sinn I think the damask is a little bit too similar.

My ten cents - keep the money in your pocket. Pop into a watch shop from time to time. Eventually you'll see something that really grabs you, and you'll end up with something you'll want to keep for a long time, maybe forever.

Endeavouring to spend all of a defined budget seems a bit 'transactional' and asking others what you want is even more so (in IMHO). Go with your instinct and you'll enjoy both the purchase and the ownership much more.

I first got a TAG Aquaracer, which was lovingly worn for years. Then I wanted an upgrade so bought a Breitling Navitimer... just didn't get on with, so sold it on within a few months. Started looking at brands I didn't know much about, and eventually popped into the Longines boutique in London, and got a Legend Diver 39 - Great watch!

Lots of different colours available too, but I just stuck to black...
