Done well if it is 12 years old. Might be a clue stamped/moulded onto the plastic case? Though you might have to hoik it out to see.
Best to leave sleeping dogs etc.
Found this but might look at taking battery out quickly this afternoon to double check, its for my son when he goes to college, so want something reliable.thanksBest to leave sleeping dogs etc.
As said, if it looks old, just get a new one.
Put the vehicle details into Halfords website, and go for a Yuasa battery.
For reference: our Fabia battery lasted 8 years, and just died one morning (I later read the handbook says replace after five years)
My BMW has start/stop function, and an AGM battery (Absorbent Glass Mat). That is still going strong after 8 years.

You could do that. Or you could try Tayna batteries. Nobody else has come close for me in the last 10 years or so. You could also buy him a decent (Noco) lithium jump pack, and teach him how to use it. Belt and braces and all that.Put the vehicle details into Halfords website, and go for a Yuasa battery.

This is why I like Halfords price match Vowed never to use tayna again for that reason....
Re Tayna, last year they did replace one that I returned as a warranty claim. I had to argue my point for a few days - however they did listen and it was then replaced quickly.
I was actually impressed that they listened to the inconsistent failure mode that I was experiencing and they agreed to help.
Not as convenient as 30mins to Halfords - but not sure that Halfords would have been able to show discretion.
I've bought a few batteries (all for different cars) from Tayna over the last 10+ years so good to see that the first time that I needed to discuss warranty they were able to assist.
