Hi everyone,
Googling this reveals this is a common issue, however, I have an error message from my diagnostic tool (Xtool D7), which has me stumped
'0043 the left airbag (Chair-mounted) detonation/passenger shoulder strap pretensioner Detonation, resistance High'
I don't have a pretensioner on the seatbelt buckle, but the message implies the issue is in the seat, I did try replacing the seatbelt assembly, but that didn't clear the issue, either. Any ideas, before I head to AM, please?
Thanks
Steve

From looking at the images on Scueria Parts, the retractors on your seatbelts appear to have the built-in pretensioners, not the buckle (see arrow in pic below). Similarly, unless you have lightweight seats there is a side airbag in the seat itself. You code reader seems to think either the airbag or pretensioner has gone off (I think you'd notice) or there's a poor/broken connection to the actual detonation squib in one of these that the SRS ECU is detecting and flagging (more likely). For the side airbag it could be a poor connection in one of the multiplugs under the seat - you haven't had the LH seat out, have you?Googling this reveals this is a common issue, however, I have an error message from my diagnostic tool (Xtool D7), which has me stumped

Thanks for the swift reply, the seatbelt pretensioner looks fine, so i guess I need to check the seat connections. The seat has been out previously (before I bought it).
And the connection to the seatbelt pretensioner too - it could be either from your analysis of your code readerMy old diagnostic tool Foxwell 530 gave me the same code as you have got, I replaced the seatbelt but still got the same error.
I tried another diagnostic tool (Thinkdiag) and it told me the resistance was too high on the squab airbag on the other seat. I checked the live values whilst moving the wires and sure enough it was a broken wire on the other seat airbag connector - I've never trusted the Foxwell since.
