I've been using my phone to pay for the tubes whilst visiting London with work recently. I'm about to put my expenses claim in and I can claim for some of the tube journeys but for the life of me I can't see how to get a receipt from Google Wallet for a transaction. I did Google it first and most results seem to talk about getting receipts from Google Play store for transactions there but the few that talk about actual Google Wallet transactions seem to suggest that there's a Download Receipt button when I scroll to the bottom of the transaction detail page, and there is not. I've checked on the Wallet app on my phone and on the website. Anyone know how to do this?

The other thing is that sometimes the TfL transaction in the list takes a few days to show the cost of the journey, or the wrong value appears. Is there a way to fix this?

I assume you have been on to the tfl website & added your contactless card there?

You can then view your journey history from the TFL Oyster app on your phone but as you say I think the journeys tend to update overnight, appearing the following day.

Also I think the contactless section of the website is still down (since September!) due to hackers?!

I am pretty sure you can't get receipts from the wallet.

No, I use Wallet anyway and have my credit and debit cards stored on that, I just tap the phone when passing through the gates. I wasn't aware there is an Oyster app.

I'd have thought as a general principle receipts would be from the company you are making the purchase from rather than Google.

I've only needed to do it once but I just downloaded the relevant statement from the card company linked to my wallet. I'm not aware of any way of seeing transactions made via the Google Wallet.

If you tap on a card on the wallet home screen it will show you recent activity. There's a view more activity link at the bottom of the page that gives you, err, more activity. If you tap on a specific transaction it will give you more details. How much depends on whether you have personalisation on or not.

Every day is a school day. Seems to give about 2 weeks of history. Nothing downloadable that I can see though. So I'd still be inclined to use my card / bank statement for any official records

So yes but given I'd never signed up for anything with TfL I assumed it would be highly unlikely I'd be able to get anything from them. Paypal provide invoices in some/most transaction cases so I thought G Wallet probably would also.

Thanks - that did the trick, that's very handy.

I didn't previously have this Personalisation setting enabled, I've done that but still don't see anything like proper recipts for existing transactions. Maybe it only applies going forward, not retrospectively. Not sure I find it reasonable that I should have to allow Google to peer even deeper into my data to be able to get receipts for simple payments but it is what it is I suppose.
