Part time consulting

I am seeking advice.
I am 57 now, accountant, have worked in a number of industries and latterly government - middle management.
Given my peculiar family arrangements, I find myself alone with no dependents (in a manner of speaking) so in theory I don't need to have a big house anymore or leave any legacy for anyone. So I can downsize, be mortgage free and
I was thinking of retiring and doing some sort of part-time consulting to have a car/bike fund. However, it feels like everyone out there is a consultant and I have no idea of how to market myself or even if there is a market for my services (which would be general management, finance orientated and personal coaching). How does one do it - previous clients (a bit tough for me as I work in government) or just advertise word of mouth, Linkedin etc?
cheers

I know you've deleted your initial post so not sure if you still want suggestions.
Definitely go 4 days or even 3 if you can.
It makes a huge difference but just make sure your workload reduces in line with reduced hours.
I have a few colleagues in senior positions who are 4 days and are still doing 5 days work.
You say you don't need a big house, option of downsizing?
Reduce the pressure to earn as much money.
