Thanks for that, an interesting update on a confounding topic.

People say Einstein has never been proved wrong but dark energy is the thing that ties up everything together in his theory.

I think we just don't know enough to really tell what is going on . But this theory does seem to explain a lot more.

Thanks. The discrepancy factor of 10^120 between the quantum zero-point energy and the macroscopic dark energy density in the LCDM model means there's bound to be something going on we don't know.

Now a different bunch of scientists are saying it does exist, but it's non-linear, and they still don't know why.

You're currently in a simulation and everything you have done or achieved in life is an absolute lie. You probably think this is real as you are reading it? Your emotions will be harvested and used in future technologies.

This. Being as dark matter is pure conjecture, I would say 'it might not exist' is self evident.

I love it when something big like this comes along to remind us we are always still learning and exploring and we don’t always have the right answers or indeed any answers. Sometimes it’s just one big guess. Even ‘science’ can be wrong.

Science is almost always wrong. If it wasn’t we would never make any progress.

Logically the most likely scenario. If computing and power generation become trivial, at least.

No just factually correct. How do you think AI is being programmed to be human like.
Edit: I haven't seen the episode.
