People say Einstein has never been proved wrong but dark energy is the thing that ties up everything together in his theory.

I think we just don't know enough to really tell what is going on . But this theory does seem to explain a lot more.

Thanks. The discrepancy factor of 10^120 between the quantum zero-point energy and the macroscopic dark energy density in the LCDM model means there's bound to be something going on we don't know.

Now a different bunch of scientists are saying it does exist, but it's non-linear, and they still don't know why.
