The 2024 Season done and dust so time for a new thread ready for the new year ! !
A lot of track day dates are out ready for next year (discounted till Jan 1st 25)
A fair few changes to the track with a new exit and changes to the car park. Will they help? We will see.
Lindner hotel chain filed for bankruptcy - How this affects the holiday park and hotels at the ring........... We will see and I believe Apex has been sold to Nurblife so new changes in Nurburg Village.

All the DN dates are sold out already! I’m booked on the July double just like this yr, I’d really prefer it to be earlier in the month before school hols kick in but I guess Darren doesn’t have much say in what the Ring offer him. Making a bit of a road trip out of it will be heading to Baden Baden and Stuttgart first before coming back up on the Sunday to Adenau. Feels a v long time away right now!

Another year passed that I haven’t made it. So yet again I’m going to make this year the year.
I’m assuming weekends are busiest, how busy are the mid week evening sessions usually?
I’m thinking a couple day trip over with two evenings there would it be worth it with the track only open a couple hours?

Lindner won’t impact at The Ring, my simple understanding is they use the brand as a way to sell their rooms, management and marketing but don’t own them.
I’m doing the DN day in May, surrounded by TF, whee no doubt I’ll do a few laps then a public session at Spa. Currently carless but sorted the upgrades and hopefully secure car mid January.

Going out Mid May for 6 nights, can't wait to get back. I book a house with a group of friends in Adenau and this will be our third year at the particular address so the lady who runs it knows us now and is happy we look after the place and leave it clean.
We have a good relationship with her considering she was quite wary of us on the first year when we turned up

Re Linder and the ring my understanding was slightly different that the two on circuit hotels constructed as part of the ring redevelopment works are owned by the circuit then leased out to Linder on a very long term.
The holiday park is I believe owned by Linder.
IMHO Hyatt that already had a recent affiliation with Linder hotels will I suspect acquire the group from the liquidators.
The properties have for the last few years carried JdV by Hyatt branding.
The holiday park and budget motorsport hotel are starting to look a little tired internally anyway. So could do with a refresh.

I feel for the bikers but like many over the years seen accidents with bikes and always felt uncomfortable around them. They are so vulnerable if they come off, throw in the proximity to the barriers and lots of cars it’s a wonder how it has taken this long.
You have to wonder how long TF will stay in its current format too, perhaps it generates to many Euros for now.

I think the bike ban coming nearly out of nowhere is likely just the first of a few big changes to happen this year and IMO is probably due to German insurance companies deciding they’re no longer happy to cover TF, with many recently starting to throw in the types of exclusions that have been on UK policies for many years…. Given that TF has almost hidden behind insurance loopholes/public road status I guess TF has to change as soon as German insurance policies no longer cover it as standard. What other changes are coming is anyone’s guess but I think it’s safe to say the bike ban won’t be the only one.Black_S3 said:

I did wonder if the insurance changes had forced the sudden change. Maybe the Nürburgring think it will open them up to being sued if a bikers gets injured/killed. Black_S3 said:
