How do you find/choose a breeder?

Hi all
Looking to get a pair of snow bengal kittens.

How do i find and choose a breeder? Internet searches all lead me to websites, facebook pages or forums etc which feel very biased, and they all tell me their stock is the best stock.
Is there some sort or register or something which can be used to judge one breeder against the other?

Thanks in advance, sorry if this is a new question. I don't buy new pets often

If I can reccomend Petplan for insurance, cannot speak highly enough...one of mine had cancer and they paid vets directly (£16k!)
You get a cheap policy you'll find a yearly cap in the smallprint these days
