Seeking Recommendations for a Removable Towbar for X3 M40i
Discussion
I have a 2021 BMW X3 M40i that we use as a family car and are looking to add a removable towbar. It doesn’t need to be electric—just capable of towing my son’s karting trailer. The key priorities are finding something that looks good, involves minimal (or no) cutting, and comes from a company that provides excellent service. Does anyone have experience or recommendations they can share?

I haven't looked into fitting OEM kit it in any real detail, it's electric and such retro fitting is often cost prohibitive. I called a local BMW specalist and they said that would likely cost 2-3K. Seems excessive.
They have to dismantle the rear of the car to retrofit the electrically deployable towbar.I went for a Westfalia removable one for my old X5. Mobile fitter. Can’t remember what it cost, I want to say about 500 quid. Not visible when removed, I just have a large section of car left in my garage that was removed during fitting.
