Cambridge garage recommendations

As the title says really - what garages would you use in Cambridge? Or which ones would you steer well clear off

My daughter moved down for a year and her brakes are squealing. She's smart enough to recognise something different but her solution is always to ask dad

I'd prefer not to do a 5 hr drive on the M6 and A14 or to take up her offer to drive up here one weekend so i can look at it! Motorway and potentially dodgy brakes aren't a good mix in my mind. So which garage would you use for a brake check and to only recommend what work is needed.

She will get whatever work they say is needed done and, as a teacher in training, can't afford to pay for what isn't needed.

GP motors in newnham used to be very fair, not used them recently so I’d check recent reviews, but they are an old private firm.

Haven't used them for a while but Barr Tech were very good for me. They do a lot of Italian exotica but will service and maintain any make. Speak to Tino.

Godden's in Milton seem ok from my limited interactions with them

I’ve used C&D motors on Hope Street for years, for everyday stuff. Also Cambridge Vehicle Services (CVS) on Swanns Road

Acorn garage in Abington, about 1/2 south of four wentways, been there forever, great service and very popular with the locals.

You can try Swift Vehicle Solutions in Milton, Mercedes specialist but do all brands. Very honest guy.
