Fantastic fun,

First weekend of ownership, blue skys, dry roads, just fantastic.

Comments from my various passengers:

The wife: 'I can see why you wanted one now'
My Mate: 'As close as it gets to my Ducati on four wheels'
The wifes mate: (inaudable due to engine noise and squeals of delight from the passenger seat ... nothing to do with me of course!)

;)

Congratulations! First Lotus?

It completly changes your point of view of what a car is and what it should be.

I remember taking a friends daughter out for a ride in the lotus. She is the usual chatty teenager. The first time I whipped round a corner she shut up for 10 mins!

I drove the Pajero up to heathrow on saturday. When I got hoe the first thing I decided I had to do was get a pint of milk. My wife know what that means! It only took an hour.

Well done, sir - top work!

Yup it's amazing the smile it puts on people's faces!

The other day I was driving past a school and a mate of mine's daughter (16) was walking out the gates. I pulled over and asked her if she wanted a lift (I know her quite well) to which put a huge smile on her face, all her mates being well jealous, and then next time I saw her she said all her mates the following day were saying how lucky she was and if they could get them a go in the car

Ah, I love my Lotus

gooby, yep -- first lotus (although I've been dreaming for ages!)

I think my missus is going to have to get used to me nipping out .... I left at 4pm on Saturday to 'nip' to the car audio shop about 2 miles away ... returned at five to six with a bottle of wine and a bag of chips!

Yeh Gooby - I'll bet she was quiet for at least 10min - I have seen you go around corners - she was probably struck mute with sheer terror.

I bought mine for exactly that reason - can't get the smile off my face even 18 months later.
