I’m going to do a proper write up once I’m further on into my biking journey, but it’s always nice to share good news so.

Long story short. Been into fast cars / bikes since I can remember. Passed theory twice before but they have ran out, last one due to Covid and loss of job. Theory runs out jan the 14th so decided to stop messing about and get it done. Booked my CBT 3 weeks ago but and passed today during storm Darrage. Will never forget today due to weather / road conditions.

Tomorrow I will be in contact to book my lessons and will hopefully have my MOD1 / 2 done before mid January. Will be tight but I’m silly like that and always seem to perform better under a bit of pressure.

Crazy day and I’m hooked.

Top man! The only negative thing about riding is our sh!te climate. If I were a younger man I would be moving nearer the equator.

I was out on the 125 today and the wind washed the front wheel out yikes the closest I've been to crashing in a while.

Congrats on the pass. I know it's a cliche that it only gets easier from here smile but I'm sure it will.

Nice one thumbup

Once you've got access to something with some actual perfomance let me know and I'll give you some pointers on the decent roads in your area.

Cheers tango. My first love of bikes was because I used to sneak on to butlines (skeg) when I was like 13 for MCN weekend. I was actually a lifeguard there for 5 years later on so used to see them then as well. And my uncle used to have a zx9r and he used to take me out round the wolds up towards Caldwell and flats around Boston. Silly looking back now but I can remember being pillion doing sub 20 minutes from ingoldmells to Boston and I have always been hooked. While my mates were putting massive sound systems into there cars and cruising up and down skeggy sea front at 17 I was stripping them out and putting bucket seats in and spending money on suspension, light weight alloys and r888’s. The wolds and surrounding roads are why I’m a piston head today.

It was a first in a long time I have been nervous on the road. I’d have been a bit nervous anyway but with the weather and getting dark I was stting my self a bit.

I started my engineering career just around the corner from The Rats Castle in Fleetville, all houses now though frown

They've put average speed cameras on some of the roads around Willingham Woods but only on the relatively (straight) boring ones so still plenty of fun to be had on the twisties if you know where to find them... wink
