As per above title, will the S/T and the 992.2 GT3/RS be the last NA of the GT3 range, or do you think Porsche and other manufacturers will continue to find ways to built NA cars?

The next 911 variant / series (after 992.2) will be at least 2-3 years away… hard to see Porsche producing NAs in 3 years time?

Imho petrol will be saved by biofuels^. It may be small numbers such as the GT3 or it may be all ICE if it can get cheap enough.

^some form of nett zero fuel

So, critical as we may be of the 992.2 GT3 ... we should be grateful.

If Porsche only get two years out of this it will have been an expensive development for them ... and let's be fair, 993 has already been used ?

The 918 was NA, so perhaps they will follow that approach (minus the all-wheel drive).

Using the battery power for 'torque infill' - as McLaren put it - would be interesting.

In time I'd presume that they'd have to lean on the battery more and more as regulations are tightened.

Yes, it probably shows why a few S/T’s have changed hands for over £400k … crazy that a modern 911 is reaching those heights, but also a testament to the car.

Though a new 992.2 GT3 Touring, manual with mags and a few extras may be a very efficient alternative ....

What's missing? Lightened flywheel, wider body and interior bits?

I believe the ST is narrow bodied ... add no rear wheel steering and different PASM management ...

Plus carbon front wings/doors, 8% shorter gear ratios across the board and the revised S/T damper settings

But the new touring has the shorter ratios and damper settings from the S/T (or close to them), right?

Doesn't the new GT3 have carbon front wings ? So maybe only the doors ?

The 991.2 GT3RS certainly has ...

Don't think it has either. Winged GT3 W/P includes CF "front lid, roof and rear wing", touring L/W package is only the roof.

S/T has CF "hood, roof, front fenders, and doors". I think "front fender" is what we call front wing.

So in terms of CF bodywork, what the S/T has over the L/W touring is: bonnet, front wings and doors.

The touring L/W package does include "Lightweight door panel with door pull handle in visible carbon" but I assume that's just the door card, not the skin.

For some unimaginable reason Porsche doesn't provide an online model comparator tool biggrin

The ST sounds just like my 981GT4 with single mass flywheel and clutch / M&M exhaust with 200 cell race cats !!

The challenge now with particulate filters is that such mods are in Europe no longer a legal modification ... will this be the same in the UK ?

I think you are right ... due to the cost of replacing damaged components the 991 Cup cars do not have carbon bonnet or front wings ... neither do the 991.1 / 991.2 or 992.1 GT3 cars. Carbon bonnet and front wings are the domain of the RS cars ... a replacement 991.2 GT3RS bonnet being £12500 and wing around £7500 ... 10 times the advertised price for the alternative aluminium or steel.

This makes the GT4RS very good value over the standard GT4 ... and maybe it explains the high insurance costs of the RS cars ?
