So I really hate the bland grey interior of my cerb. Is fabric paint out the question? Has anyone done this? Would I be a mad man and regret it?
Retrims just seem so expensive over 5-7K
I’d do it myself but can just about tie my laces.
Any suggestions?

Mine was all bland light grey. I changed it using Liquid Leather - Scuff Master dyes, and eventually re upholstered the seats (not in this photo)

You need to take everything apart to do it right. Big job.

I've used the furniture clinic products to redo my interior, but did go the same could, but from old worn, faded and dirty to clean and new

to this as an example

It takes a lot of time, in my case many light coats as I used a modelling spray gun, but the results looked great and have lasted pretty well. Side bolster needs doing again

From my records it looks like I used 2.5L of red, & 250ml black (only for the top dash & steering wheel)

I used an air brush like Byker28i to spray it, and I seem to remember it was thinned 50/50 with water (it's water based). 5 or 6 coats - dried with hair dryer smile

Yes, if using a spray gun, thin it down with water to help it spray

The way I looked at it was I had nothing to lose apart from time and a small outlay. If it didn't work I'd pay for a retrim

For any future readers wanting to do this:
Gliptone scuffmaster dyes no longer mix colours and only offer a few colours most might find to garish and bright. Example image below they sent me.

I’m going to use Furniture Clinic, great kit that contains all you need and loads of colours including samples from existing car manufacturers and they can colour match and mix paint.

An interesting post really.
Did anyone try to do the same with carpet set?
