E39 throttle body

When I had an e36 320i I fitted a throttle body from an e36 325i to sharpen up the performance. There is a difference in the two units.

Is there a difference in the unit on an e39 523i and the throttle body on the e39 528i (both year 1999) or are they both the same ?

IIRC they're the same

In all honesty there's no replacement for displacement

You'd be better off getting yourself a 530i if at all possible
